BELIEVE IN JESUS
We ask each person desiring to be a member of Redeemer Community to answer a few basic questions about salvation and to write a brief testimony of how they came to believe in Jesus.
Many choose to be ‘regular attenders’ rather than members because they have not decided what they believe about Jesus or because they haven’t taken the step to commit to the local church Body. We welcome people who are still in the process of making any of these decisions but strongly urge believers in Jesus wishing to be a part of Redeemer Community to take ownership and become members.
BE A BAPTIZED BELIEVER
As Baptists, we firmly believe that baptism is a symbolic act of obedience. It is a beautiful picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. We require that you have been baptized by immersion (under the water) since the time you first believed in Christ. Parents of children wishing to be baptized will schedule an orientation meeting with Pastor Jeff Cornette to to discuss any timing factors and other pertinent details.
If you have trusted in Christ for salvation & desire to be baptized, contact Pastor Jeff Cornette.
MEMBERSHIP INTRO
Once you have decided to join the church, we will schedule a short membership meeting for you with the Elders. During the meeting, an Elder will explain our church core values, and answer any questions you may have. You will be voted into membership during the next Family Gathering.
BE PRESENTED TO THE CHURCH
Once the other steps have been completed, we will present you to the congregation through a celebratory commitment presentation on a Sunday morning. The congregation will affirm their commitment to you and then will welcome you to the church.
*Family Gatherings are held quarterly.
